Vive Récréation (On the Playground!)
For the older generation of Haitians, it’s all our childhood that is contained in these children’s "potpourri". A mix of memories and emotions that sends us decades back to our beloved country, a “hands-on, technology-free” time where all the kids were meeting in “la cour de recreation” (the playground) to enjoy snacks such as chanm-chanm, pistach griye, fresco, tito, etc. All this while playing, running, laughing, and gathering with our classmates, before getting back into the classroom.
