When I told my friends that I was going to call the song “Korekteman #2”, they laughed out loud, and T-Nan spontaneously proposed instead: “Raouleman”! I immediately opted in, and this title was unanimously adopted by all my friends during this audition session/party. Even the late Daniel Jn-Louis my forever friend-lyricist, author of the song’s lyrics, and generally very careful about words and titles, approved it right away!

Produced by the talented Nickenson “Nicky” Prudhomme leader of the band “Harmonic”. This song is well served by the captivating voices of Jude Deslouches “Vayb’s”, DP express member Lesly Dauphin, and the energetic “Ekip’s” band leader/singer Shabba as lead singer. Nicky’s magical keys put a hype with his “Picante” synth solo during the groove part, and in an attempt to not be left behind, I placed my own solo touch after his. (“Nicky banm fon kou!”)

The big armada of mixing engineers was also deployed, to the benefit of this happy konpa: Bobby “The Legend” Denis joined my pair of Patricks (Pat Déjean and Pat Audant), to produce an outstanding mix, reminding us of the good-old times mixing at AUDIOTEK STUDIO at Delmas 48!

And please, don’t be surprised by the striking end of the song. The 3 last words you will hear then: “Woy, yo pran’l!” are the exact words expressed by most of the Haitian population at each unpleasant and without notice of electricity shortage happening at any time in the country. To tell you the truth such an incident really happened during a “Raouleman” background vocals recording session!

This is my way to be sarcastically grateful to all the government officials of my country for their legendary and recurrent incompetence!
