What could I have written more beautifully than “Lydia” a song dedicated to my lovely Chef, the mother of my children, and most importantly My Wife? She is a flavorful combination of eternal happiness, a lover of dance, and an indescribable passion for cooking!
When I asked my dear late friend Daniel to write the lyrics of this purposedly written chachacha-style music, I was miles away to guess the phenomenal text he was about to create for the song.
Intelligently, he combined all the ingredients of a magic recipe to the rhythm of the music. The
the result is this vibrant Latin-rhythm song well served by the talented percussionist Miguel Gomez,
introduced to me by the renowned Martinican percussionist Dédé St-Prix.

A soft-and-groovy background vocals section assures “Lydia’’ the right ambiance desired to the
whole harmonization.

Bobby Ray holds the bass with ease and elegance, while another extraordinary musician, one of
my most admired pianist, Welmyr Jean-Pierre holds the piano in the purest Latin-piano style.

All my gratitude goes to my Cuban brothers of the “Sabroson Con Ron Brass Ensemble”, for their
participation.

Although my guitar player on this track wanted to stay anonymous, he accepted to be renamed “Charles Sainte-Anne” which is a sobriquet of the name of his megastar idol, Carlos Santana!
