When you have one of your favorite songs revisited by one of your favorite musicians, not only does the dream come true, but it sends you straight to Heaven!

Welmyr Jean-Pierre is a fabulous pianist, no doubt. But he also is an extremely talented composer/arranger with amazing versatility in the wide range of genres that he can perform: From konpa to salsa to bossa nova to jazz, Welmyr has done it all. But his wonderful sensitivity in writing in a classical mood is what rose my admiration for him to the highest levels. When I asked him if he could make me a Grand Piano accompaniment for a new interpretation of “Chak Fwa Mwen Sonje” that I wanted to play on the cello, I was blown away to receive this sumptuous gift Welmyr made me: A full orchestra arrangement, including this absolutely wonderful Grand Piano performance! I then had to put my skills to the highest levels as well, to record the cello solo the very best I could!
